NIFTeY advocates for investment in the crucial early period of life and provides information on the importance of the early years (including the prenatal period) to health, development and well-being throughout life.

The early years of life are critical to development and have vital implications throughout life. The ability to live life to the fullest - to love and care for others, to achieve goals in work, leisure and family life - is founded on early life experience. We should invest in the early years, acknowledging their equal importance to school and university education. |

Discussion Paper on Integrated Children’s Centres – June 2010 In this paper NIFTeY NSW discusses some of the issues when establishing integrated children’s centres. It was developed following a lively forum NIFTeY NSW where participants discussed the vision and the reality of setting up integrated centres. National Standards for Out-of-Home Care Consultation Paper Minister Jenny Macklin released the National Standards for Out-of-Home Care Consultation Paper on 21 January 2010 and is inviting comment from interested people and groups. Feedback on the paper should be lodged by 5pm (AEST) on 26 March 2010. |
