Mark Brooke
Mark Brooke is Chief Executive Officer of Playgroup Queensland. Playgroup Queensland is a peak body and charity and offers a broad suite of services including universal and targeted playgroups; Australia’s only Indigenous Playgroup Resource Unit; a number of early intervention activities, parenting support programs and child care hubs, a policy and evaluation unit and at a national level the Sing and Grow Music Therapy program.
A major focus of Mark’s work has been working with children and young people and their families including seven years as CEO of Playgroup Queensland and eleven years at executive level with Police Community Youth Clubs in both Qld and NSW. Mark has many years of experience in the development of policy and programs in early childhood, early intervention, crime prevention and juvenile justice and has worked extensively in regional and remote Queensland.
Mark remains active as a Board Member on a number of State and National not-for-profit Boards including Playgroup Australia Inc and Families Australia Inc and is a former Chairperson of the Mainstream Youth Organisations Task Force and National Secretary of PCYC Association of Australia.
His qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts and MBA (Public Administration) and he is Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
His resides in Brisbane with his wife and two children. |
