Michael Rice AM
Michael Rice is a paediatrician in Adelaide working in both public hospital and private consulting practice. He has a particular interest in the care of children with cancer and in advocacy for children.
He has served on many local and national committees with principal commitments to the Adelaide Children’s Hospital, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Australian Medical Association, as the inaugural chairman of the South Australian Clinical Senate and more recently as a member of the SA child health clinical network steering committee.
He is the recipient of various awards, namely, the Howard Williams Medal of the Australian College of Paediatrics (1998), the Medal of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (2000), the Centenary Medal (2003), the Gold Medal of the Australian Medical Association (2004) and the Medal of the Order of Australia (2004). |
