Stephen Breen

Stephen Breen is the President of the Western Australian Primary Principals’ Association (WAPPA) and is also Treasurer of the Australian Primary Principals’ Association. Stephen has been in primary education for over 34 years since graduating from Edith Cowan University. During those years he has taught in a number of city and regional schools and has held the position of teacher, deputy principal and principal of District High schools and primary schools.


Stephen has held the position of President of WAPPA since December 2007 WAPPA and has been on the Board of Management and a local chapter chairperson for over 10 years. In 2005 he held the position of General Manager of the Western Australian Government Schools Leadership Centre. Further studies have included a Bachelor of Education, Graduate Diploma in Computer Education and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting.

 

Stephen is married to Roslyn, a primary school teacher and has two children, Jessica who manages a travel agency and James who is completing his doctorate in biochemistry. Stephen’s great passion outside of school and his professional association is sport and he enjoys watching all forms including Australian rules and cricket.
